In our small, homelike family owned guesthouse you should feel like visiting old friends.
You shouldn’t be afraid to experience staying little out of Old Town, because we are located in beautiful Art Nouveau building and embassies area called “Quite Centre” in just 15 minutes walking distance.
Guesthouse “Jakob Lenz” is named after the Livonian (Livonia being the medieval name for today’s Latvia and Estonia) poet Jakob Michael Reinhold Lenz who together with Goethe, formed the “Sturm und Drang” (Storm and Stress) movement in German literature which made German authors the cultural leaders of Europe in their time. The street on which the guesthouse is situated bore the name of Jakob Lenz up until World War l.
